The Starfish Foundation is a charitable trust whose objective is to assist people in New Zealand, regardless of age or gender, to achieve their goals.

The criteria for a grant is:

1.     You must have a clear goal

2.     In achieving that goal, you will become an example to:

1. •  Yourself
   

2. •  Your family and friends
   

3. •  Your community
   

3.     You have a plan as to how you are going to achieve the goal.

4.     You will have already begun implementing your plan.

The Starfish Foundation does not provide funds directly to you.  Rather, it will pay for things that you need to help you reach your goal.  This might be training, equipment, travel or other requirements.

Once the Starfish Foundation understands your goal, your plan and what assistance you need to achieve it, they can consider offering you assistance.

All that the Starfish Foundation requires are regular reports on your progress towards you achieving your goal.
